The Immacolata Manor, Inc. is a non-denominational, not-for-profit residential facility for women with developmental disabilities located in Liberty, Missouri. Immacolata Manor focuses on the values and principles of community membership, self-determination, human rights, and basic needs, so that the women will be supported and empowered to achieve their highest potential and to live their lives with dignity and respect.
In 1999 Immacolata Manor spent 85% of their total expenses on Program Services for the residents, only 14% of expenses were for administrative costs and 1% of expenses for fund raising. Nearly one third of the money spent in 1999 was donated -- 18% individual and corporate contributions, 12% from a local thrift store. Over the years they've kept that same kind of commitment to the ladies who live there, with the vast majority of funds going into services to meet the needs of the ladies of the Manor.
The Over The Next Hill Ride has helped raise money to build single-level housing which will be more accommodating for the residents of the Manor with physical disabilities. Construction began Winter 2001-2002 on the four new homes which were estimated to cost $1.75 million at completion. The ladies moved into their new homes soon after the 2002 ride and are loving their new space. Our 2003 fundraising efforts helped them buy a newer used minivan.
